| Bring in any photo (up to 7 X
10) or email us your file (up to 300Kb) and we can put it on the top of your cake! We also
offer 3.5"X5" and 5"X7" sizes as well. We scan the image into the computer and then print it out on a modified bubble jet printer using food colouring ink and edible paper. We then paint the back of the paper with white chocolate so the image will not dissolve on our real fresh cream or real butter cream cakes. We helped bring this technology to Vancouver and were the second bakery in Canada to offer this service since we introduced it in April 1999. We are the ONLY bakery that uses the highest quality paper and coat the back with white chocolate to give the best possible results. Other bakeries either use a thicker rice paper which dissolves slower (but it still dissolves) or add chemicals to their cream to make the cream more stable. If you want to put an image onto your cake, either bring your image into any of our stores at least 1 full day inadvnce or email us your image, send it to orders2006@annas.ca. Remember to only send JPG files under 300k or our server will reject the file. Keep in mind the orientation of the image as people are generally used to seeing cakes landscape style. Please either crop the image to suit our sizes or let us know if you want the image printed as is too. |
