This cake has four layers of chocolate sponge cake made with butter
and four layers of chocolate fresh cream.The centre layer is filled with real, whipped,
fresh cream and then folded into real cherries suspended in gelatin. The sides are covered
with Belgium chocolate vermicelli (not chocolate flavoured ones) and then Belgium
chocolate shavings are sprinkled on top. In the summer months we will often replace the
maraschino cherries on top with fresh strawberries. |
